Cultivating inclusion and belonging for LIDL
Lidl, one of Europe’s largest retailers, recognised the significance of cultivating diversity and inclusivity within its organisation. This case study sheds light on our collaborative efforts with Lidl to develop a comprehensive Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) strategy. We conducted a groundbreaking survey to understand diverse talent perceptions, identified areas for improvement, and proposed strategies to foster an inclusive culture. In line with its commitment to inclusivity, Lidl sought to create an environment that values diversity.

Our approach to achieving this was systematic:
- Extensive Survey: We conducted the company’s largest-ever survey on diverse talent perceptions, uncovering critical insights.
- Tailored D&I Strategy: A bespoke D&I strategy was crafted, focusing on fostering inclusivity.
- Implementation Support: We collaborated closely with Lidl to execute our recommendations, with particular emphasis on attracting diverse talent.
The partnership between Lidl and our team delivered tangible results:
- Innovative Attraction: Our influencer attraction service played a pivotal role. Lidl tapped into a diverse talent pool, culminating in the most diverse graduate cohort hired in January 2023.
